This GY-6D fast scanning X-band dual-polarization weather radar is specially designed for high sensitivity and fast scanning of convective weather, and is improved and designed by using the latest dual-line polarization technology and the research results of radar fast scanning technology to follow or exceed the "X-band dual-line polarization Doppler weather radar system functional specification requirements" and "technical requirements for the construction and application of hydraulic rain radar system" of the China Meteorological Administration. Compared with solid-state Doppler weather radar, this type of radar has great advantages in quantitative precipitation estimation and particle phase recognition ability (identification of hail (dry hail, wet hail), shrapnel, snow, precipitation, features, etc.) due to its unique dual-line polarization technology, and can output gridded rainfall data in real time, and can invert raindrop spectrum particle size and raindrop spectrum data for correction, and has terrain matching scanning capabilities. In addition, GY-6D fast scanning technology enables radar to achieve minute-level high-precision body scan data output, which has great time and product advantages for the detection of fast-changing severe weather. Radar is suitable for vehicle-mounted maneuvering and fixed station installation and other occasions, the measured data can be automatically post-processed and displayed using product software, and real-time meteorological data products (Z, V, W, Zdr, Φdp, Kdp, ρhv) are given. It can not only detect precipitation cloud height, cloud thickness, cloud bottom height, cloud water content, but also detect the radial component of the flow field in the precipitation cloud and the activity area of air flow and turbulence in the storm, and has real-time monitoring and warning capabilities for small and medium-scale storms, hail, strong wind shear, cyclones, tornadoes and gales and other severe weather, and has the ability to obtain environmental wind fields. The radar has phase classification capabilities and can automatically warn of storms, hailstorms, and rainstorms.
